Full Job Description The Position:
The PT provides 1-on-1 coaching to workers at their workstations during weekly prevention patrols at a local manufacturing company. The PT leads crew talks and musculoskeletal injury prevention training workshops as needed, observes for ergonomic risk factors and makes improvement suggestions. Currently, 6-8 hours/week is needed to cover the two shifts at this facility. 1st shift is 5:00 AM - 3:30 PM and 2nd shift is 3:45 PM - 2:15 AM Monday through Thursday. 75% of the hours each week cover 1st shift. The PT can determine their weekly schedule, with site management approval. The hours are flexible and are based on facility and employee needs, so they may vary week to week. This is a nonclinical role with minimal documentation time. The fee for service is an hourly rate that we can discuss. This is based on experience, with opportunity for advancement based on outcome performance.
Requirements:
You must be a licensed physical therapist in good standing and carry your own professional liability insurance coverage. At least 3 years of PT experience is preferred. After agreeing to the terms, an 'independent contractor agreement' must be signed with Duffy-Rath Physical Therapy, PC. For training, you will be required to review self-study materials, participate in a 1-day online training course (or 2 half days) with a DRS instructor, followed by 2 days of onsite training with the DRS Manager at the manufacturing facility; to meet employees, implement learned concepts, and to get acquainted with the facility. Some prior McKenzie, Mulligan and Ergonomics Training are preferred but not required. Fluency in Spanish would also be great, but is not required.
