Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in a school-based setting near Laurel, DE! This assignment is tailored for Physical Therapists (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) who are passionate about helping young learners achieve their mobility and development goals. The role involves providing specialized therapy services to a small caseload, making it possible to truly focus on individual progress and foster meaningful connections. You will work with just three K-6th grade students beginning in August 2026, with flexible scheduling for up to five hours per week. Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Valid state licensure as a PT or PTA Experience working with children, preferably in a school or pediatric setting Familiarity with IEPs and educational documentation is highly desirable Strong communication and collaboration skills with students, staff, and families Dedication to fostering student independence and engagement
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted PT or PTA services to a caseload of K-6 students (maximum of three) Assess student needs, develop and execute treatment plans, and monitor progress Document all therapy sessions and contribute to IEP meetings when required Collaborate with teachers and other specialists to optimize students' educational experiences
