Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a specialized contract opportunity supporting K-6th grade students as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). This vital role focuses on serving a small caseload—just three students—which allows you to deliver high-quality, personalized therapy in an educational environment near Millsboro, DE. You'll be working within a friendly, collaborative school setting and making a meaningful difference as students begin their academic year in August 2026.
Preferred Qualifications:
Current or pending licensure as a PT or PTA Experience with pediatric populations, especially in school settings, is highly valued Understanding of individualized education program (IEP) documentation and implementation Strong communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other education professionals Organized, self-motivated, and able to manage a flexible schedule within a part-time framework
Responsibilities:
Provide targeted physical therapy services to three elementary-aged students in accordance with their IEPs Develop and implement effective intervention plans promoting students' functional independence in the classroom Document treatment sessions, progress notes, and contribute to IEP reviews Consult with educators and families to adapt activities, environments, and equipment to support students' physical needs Attend scheduled meetings, contribute insight to student support teams, and collaborate on goal setting This opportunity offers a manageable, focused caseload, making it ideal for professionals seeking a rewarding assignment with a flexible commitment—just five hours per week.
