Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract A rewarding contract opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist or Physical Therapist Assistant looking to make a positive impact in a supportive school setting near Milton, DE. This position begins in August 2026 and focuses on working one-on-one or in small groups with students in grades K-6. You'll assist a total of three students, providing essential therapeutic services and contributing to their academic and physical development. Qualifications and Experience:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric environment preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt therapy interventions for children in K-6th grades
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct individualized and small group sessions for three students as specified in their IEPs or care plans Develop and adjust therapeutic activities to target each student's developmental and educational needs Maintain detailed and accurate documentation of sessions and student progress Collaborate with educational staff, families, and other healthcare professionals to support student goals Participate in school meetings and contribute to student care strategies as needed This role is designed to fit well with therapists seeking a manageable caseload and flexible scheduling within a school environment.
