Job Description

Overview The Physical Therapist provides therapy services and education to patients. To educate other health professionals and students about rehabilitation. UF Health Rehab Center - OSMI (Sports and Orthopaedics) provides physical, massage and aquatic therapy services. Our staff are specialty-trained to serve sports, running medicine, total joint, post-surgical and the general orthopaedic population, including pain science. We work closely with the physicians in the UF Health Orthopaedics and Sports Medicine Institute and the UF Health Comprehensive Spine Center. We are the rehab provider for the University Athletic Association and are an accredited sport residency site through the American Physical Therapy Association. Our therapists collaborate in research with these physicians and the University Athletic Association and are published in areas of ACL, baseball/overhead athletes, movement analysis, concussion, patient expectations/outcomes, psychosocial factors for positive outcomes and running medicine. Qualifications Minimum Education and Experience Requirements Bachelors in a Rehab Therapy. No previous clinical experience necessary. Licensure/Certification/Registration Licensed Physical Therapist in the State of Florida. Additional info Demonstrates knowledge and skill in a broad range of therapy services and settings. Demonstrates strong communication skills.
