Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel An opportunity is available for a Physical Therapist specializing in hospital-based therapy to join a progressive inpatient rehabilitation unit in Gainesville, FL. This position offers a guaranteed 40-hour workweek on the day shift with a focus on delivering quality patient care within a dynamic hospital setting. The role is travel-based, allowing you to work in a supportive and well-equipped rehab environment.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and develop individualized therapy plans Provide treatments including ADLs training, transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and functional training Educate patients and families on care techniques and rehabilitation progress Utilize typical inpatient rehab gym equipment such as balance and gait systems Maintain accurate documentation using Meditech (Expanse) Participate in weekend call rotation as required Adapt efficiently to new hospital and unit startup processesQualifications:
Current BLS certification is mandatory Experience in inpatient rehabilitation or hospital-based physical therapy preferred Ability to function independently in a fast-paced environment Comfortable participating in new unit startups and change initiatives Strong communication and patient education skillsSchedule:
