Job Description
This positing is for a Pediatric Physical Therapist to work with us at a pediatric outpatient day center. Physical Therapist MUST be Florida Medicaid credentialed. Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for evaluating, planning, and implementing individualized treatment programs for patients with various physical conditions. This role requires a strong background in patient care and a commitment to improving the quality of life for individuals through effective rehabilitation strategies. The Physical Therapist will work in diverse settings, including acute care, inpatient, outpatient, and home community care environments. Duties Conduct thorough assessments of patients to determine their physical therapy needs. Develop and implement personalized treatment plans based on individual patient evaluations. Provide hands-on therapy and rehabilitation techniques to improve patient mobility and functionality. Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary to achieve optimal outcomes. Educate patients and their families on therapeutic exercises, injury prevention, and overall health management. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care. Maintain accurate documentation of patient treatments, progress notes, and discharge summaries. Stay current with advancements in physical therapy practices and participate in continuing education opportunities. Qualifications Experience with Pediatrics A degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution is required. Valid state licensure or eligibility for licensure as a Physical Therapist. Experience in acute care, inpatient, outpatient, orthopedics, geriatrics, or related fields is preferred. Strong knowledge of physical therapy systems and methodologies. Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members. Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.
