Full Time Job Summary:
At Palms Care Center, we are committed to providing exceptional care and rehabilitation services to our residents. We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Physical Therapist to join our team on a full-time basis. As a Physical Therapist at Palms Care Center, you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our patients by helping them achieve their goals and regain their independence.
Responsibilities:
Perform and document initial exams on every incoming patient to identify problems and determine a diagnosis Identify and document goals as well as anticipated progress and plans for reevaluation Test and measure patients' strength, motor development, and function, sensory perception, functional capacity, and respiratory and circulatory efficiency Plan, prepare, and carry out individually designed programs of physical treatment to maintain, improve, or restore physical functioning Instruct patients and families in treatment procedures to be continued at home Attend staff meetings and facility meetings Participate in continuing education classes
Requirements:
Possess a Physical Therapy degree and license in the state of Florida Be certified in CPR Be physically able to assist individuals Have some computer literacy Possess strong listening, speaking, critical thinking, and reading comprehension skills Be socially perceptive Have strong time-management skills
