Job Summary Join our dynamic healthcare team as a Pediatric Physical Therapist or Assistant, where you will play a vital role in improving the mobility, strength, and overall well-being of pediatric patients. In this energetic and rewarding position, you will implement specialized physical therapy treatments tailored to children's unique needs, collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, and support families throughout their care journey. Your expertise will help children achieve developmental milestones, regain function, and enhance their quality of life in a compassionate and motivating environment. Duties Develop and execute individualized care plans for pediatric patients based on thorough clinical assessments and physiotherapy principles. Implement evidence-based physical therapy treatments focusing on pediatrics, orthopedics, and gait training. Operate medical equipment safely and effectively during therapy sessions while adhering to clinical documentation standards. Collaborate with physicians, occupational therapists, caregivers, and other healthcare professionals to optimize patient outcomes. Accurately document clinical assessments, treatment progress, discharge planning details, and medical documentation in electronic health records (EHR). Communicate clearly with clients and caregivers to explain treatment goals, progress updates, and home exercise programs to ensure comprehensive patient care. Requirements Valid licensure or certification as a Pediatric Physical Therapist or Assistant with relevant state credentials. Proven experience in outpatient clinics, inpatient settings, skilled nursing facilities, or home health environments working with pediatric populations. Strong knowledge of physiology, anatomy, medical terminology, and clinical assessment documentation standards. Skilled in physical therapy treatment implementation including manual therapy techniques such as trigger point therapy. Familiarity with medical equipment operation and electronic health records (EHR) management systems. Excellent communication skills for caregiver engagement and client education. Experience working within care plans for pediatrics with additional experience in orthopedics, geriatrics, or acute care settings is preferred. Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient-centered care.
