Job Description

Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel A Travel Physical Therapist is needed to provide expert rehabilitation services on the Gainesville Hospital Rehab Unit in Newberry, FL. This opportunity guarantees 40 hours per week over a 6-week assignment with no return-to-office requirements, special scheduling concerns, early cancellations, or reported attendance issues. The role is based in a hospital setting, focusing on delivering quality physical therapy care.
Location:
Located in vibrant Newberry, FL, you will work within a supportive hospital environment on the 2nd floor of the main hospital building. The rehab unit is well-equipped with typical inpatient rehab gym tools like balance and gait systems to assist patients in regaining mobility and independence.
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations Implement therapy treatments including ADLs, transfers, gait training, therapeutic exercises, and functional training Provide patient and family education to support recovery goals Document care accurately using the Meditech (Expanse) system Participate in weekend rotations as required Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team consisting of PTs, OTs, SLPs, and techs
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
Current BLS certification is required Experience with inpatient rehab preferred Ability to function independently in a fast-paced, newly started hospital unit Adaptable to team dynamics and patient needs Previous travel therapy experience is a plus
Schedule:
