Work Environment This full-time position is based onsite at our modern Rehabilitation Center in Palm Bay, where we provide a comprehensive suite of therapies and treatments aimed at improving patient outcomes. Our facility is equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technologies designed to facilitate advanced rehabilitation therapy. You will be part of a collaborative team that includes other health professionals dedicated to maximizing patient recovery. Key Responsibilities Evaluate patients through thorough assessments to identify individual needs and treatment goals. Develop and implement tailored treatment plans using diverse therapeutic techniques, ensuring a balanced approach to rehabilitation. Administer effective, cost-conscious therapies aimed at enhancing patients' range of motion and mobility. Encourage active participation from patients in their recovery process to maximize functional improvement. Effectively document patient progress and treatment outcomes to maintain compliance and quality standards. Collaborate closely with interdisciplinary teams to align on patient care strategies and progress. Implement customized exercise programs geared towards rehabilitation, strength training, and mobility restoration. Advocate for non-surgical interventions, educating patients about alternatives to medication where possible. Maintain an open line of communication with patients to provide ongoing support and motivation throughout their rehabilitation journey. Supervise assistants and interns, fostering their professional development in a clinical environment. Patient Population / Client Focus As a Physical Therapist at our facility, you will primarily work with a diverse population of patients recovering from orthopedic injuries, surgeries, and chronic conditions. This includes athletes looking to return to their sport, seniors aiming to regain independence, and individuals managing post-surgical rehabilitation. Your expertise will directly impact their daily lives and overall well-being by enhancing their physical capabilities and empowering them to lead active, healthy lives. Qualifications Master's Degree (MPT) or Doctorate (DPT) in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Active license to practice as a Physical Therapist in Florida, free from disciplinary actions. Strong skills in manual therapy techniques and therapeutic exercises. Proven ability to develop individualized exercise programs based on patient assessments. Familiarity with electronic medical records software, particularly WebPT. Preferred Experience Previous experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is an advantage. Exposure to rehabilitation for various orthopedic conditions and pre/post-surgical care. Experience mentoring or training junior staff or interns is desirable. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this position ranges from $80,000 to $95,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
