Work Environment Your role will be based onsite at our state-of-the-art Rehabilitation Center located in Palm Bay, where you will work alongside a talented team of healthcare professionals. The center is designed to provide an inviting and therapeutic environment, equipped with the latest technology and tools to facilitate effective rehabilitation. As part of a multidisciplinary team, you will collaborate with physical therapists, occupational therapists, and other specialists to provide comprehensive care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough assessments of patients upon their initial visit, evaluating range of motion, strength, and functional mobility to create individualized treatment plans tailored to their specific needs. Implement a variety of therapeutic exercises and manual therapy techniques to address mobility issues, pain management, and rehabilitation following orthopedic procedures. Monitor and document patient progress meticulously, making necessary adjustments to treatment plans based on response to therapy and patient feedback. Educate patients and their families about home exercise programs to support recovery efforts and encourage active participation in their rehabilitation process. Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other health professionals to facilitate seamless communication and comprehensive patient care. Utilize electronic health record (EHR) systems for proper documentation and maintaining patient treatment history. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will primarily work with patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic musculoskeletal conditions. Our diverse client base includes pre-operative patients, those in acute recovery phases, and individuals requiring ongoing management of chronic pain. Providing tailored rehabilitation strategies, you will help improve their functional capabilities and restore their quality of life. Qualifications A minimum of a Bachelor's degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution. Active State licensure as a Physical Therapist in Florida. At least 3 years of experience in orthopedic rehabilitation, with a strong foundation in therapeutic modalities and patient assessment methods. Exceptional communication skills for educating and engaging patients and their families. Strong interpersonal skills to foster a positive therapeutic relationship with patients. Preferred Experience Experience in providing care in outpatient settings with a focus on orthopedic therapy. Proficiency in techniques such as trigger point therapy and familiarity with hospital-based medicine will be an advantage.
