Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding school-based physical therapy position, providing dedicated support to students across multiple campuses in the Ponce De Leon, FL area. This full-time contract assignment runs from August 3, 2026 through May 28, 2027, offering a fulfilling school year experience. As a Physical Therapist, you'll work collaboratively in educational settings, helping young learners reach their potential while also supervising a skilled PTA to ensure the highest standard of care.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Master's or Doctorate in Physical Therapy from an accredited program Valid state licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy setting highly preferred Confidence in supervising PTA(s) and supporting their professional development Strong communication and organizational abilities Ability to adapt therapy plans to fit the needs of diverse student populations Comfortable traveling between multiple campuses as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Provide comprehensive physical therapy evaluations and design individualized treatment plans for students Collaborate with educators, parents, and other support staff to integrate therapeutic interventions within the school environment Deliver direct therapy services to students, regularly documenting progress and adjusting interventions as appropriate Supervise, mentor, and review the performance of a Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Attend Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings and contribute insight toward student goals Maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with all state and federal guidelines Explore the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in student success while advancing your expertise in a supportive environment.
