Position Overview Life and Wellness Services is actively seeking a dedicated and licensed Physical Therapist (PT) with a specialization in orthopedic rehabilitation to join our team in Sun City Center, Florida. This full-time, onsite position plays a pivotal role in enhancing the quality of life for our patients who experience physical challenges due to injuries, chronic conditions, or disabilities. As a Physical Therapist at our organization, you will be responsible for the assessment, diagnosis, and treatment of patients with musculoskeletal issues, all while working towards achieving optimal functional outcomes. In this outpatient office setting, you will engage with a diverse patient population on a daily basis, providing direct, hands-on therapy. The environment is designed for professional growth, featuring state-of-the-art equipment and ample resources to support your clinical practice. You will collaborate closely with other health professionals, such as physicians and occupational therapists, to ensure a holistic approach to patient care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough patient evaluations to assess physical function and identify therapy needs, including gathering data from patients, physicians, and healthcare team members. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on evidence-based practices, setting specific rehabilitation goals that align with the patients' lifestyles and needs. Deliver therapeutic interventions, including manual therapy, therapeutic exercises, and modalities to enhance recovery and improve functional abilities. Continuously re-evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatment plans as necessary to ensure optimal recovery and adherence to state and organizational guidelines. Provide patient and family education regarding diagnoses, treatment plans, and home exercise programs to foster engagement and compliance. Document all patient interactions accurately and promptly, ensuring compliance with state practices, payor requirements, and company policies. Maintain a consistent schedule, providing therapy for a full caseload that contributes to a supportive and busy practice environment. Uphold the standards and ethics of physical therapy practice, including ongoing professional development and staying informed of industry best practices. Patient Population / Client Focus You will have the opportunity to work with a diverse demographic, primarily focusing on patients recovering from orthopedic surgeries, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Our patient-centric approach means you will actively listen to patient concerns, empowering them through education and adaptive therapies that consider their unique backgrounds and recovery goals. Qualifications This position requires a Bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited program in physical therapy, along with a valid Physical Therapist license in the State of Florida or a temporary permit. Additionally, a current BLS/Healthcare Provider certification is mandatory. As a successful candidate, you will demonstrate effective communication skills, empathy, and a strong commitment to patient care. Preferred Experience Experience in an orthopedic outpatient setting is preferred, as familiarity with orthopedic conditions and therapies will be beneficial in delivering optimal care. Knowledge of therapeutic techniques and equipment commonly used in outpatient orthopedics will also be advantageous. Compensation and Benefits The starting salary for this role ranges from
