Overview We are seeking a dedicated Pelvic Health Physical Therapist to join our multidisciplinary healthcare team. This role involves providing specialized physiotherapy services focused on pelvic health, supporting patients across various settings including outpatient clinics, hospitals, home health, and community care. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology, with experience in discharge planning and care plan development. Duties Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with pelvic health issues, including those related to postpartum recovery, incontinence, pelvic pain, and other conditions. Develop and implement individualized treatment plans utilizing physiotherapy techniques such as trigger point therapy and orthopedics. Provide patient education on pelvic floor exercises, lifestyle modifications, and self-management strategies. Coordinate discharge planning and ensure seamless transition of care across inpatient, outpatient, home health, and community settings. Document patient progress accurately using EMR systems and maintain detailed treatment records. Collaborate with healthcare teams to optimize patient outcomes in acute care, hospital settings, or outpatient clinics. Monitor patient response to therapy and adjust treatment plans accordingly to achieve optimal recovery. Assist in training and supervising junior staff or interns as needed. Skills Strong knowledge of anatomy and physiology related to pelvic health and musculoskeletal systems. Proficiency in physiotherapy techniques including trigger point therapy and orthopedics. Experience with discharge planning, care plans, and patient care management across inpatient, outpatient, home & community care environments. Familiarity with EMR systems for documentation and patient tracking. Knowledge of medical terminology relevant to physiotherapy and pelvic health conditions. Background in pediatrics, geriatrics, orthopedics, or hospital experience is highly desirable. Ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary teams in various settings such as hospitals, clinics, or home health environments. Excellent communication skills for patient education and interdisciplinary collaboration.
