Category Therapy - Hospital - PT Job Type Travel Step into a vital therapy role within a hospital-based outpatient setting, focusing on delivering comprehensive physical therapy services to diverse patient populations. This contract position calls for a skilled professional who evaluates, develops, and modifies patient treatment plans in alignment with physician direction and each patient's individual needs and goals.
Schedule/Hours:
Contract position; specifics discussed during interview.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure to practice as a Physical Therapist. Experience in hospital outpatient therapy strongly preferred. Demonstrated clinical reasoning with ability to craft goal-directed care plans. Commitment to professional standards, continuing education, and regulatory compliance. Strong documentation skills—maintaining clear, concise, and timely records. Ability to delegate tasks effectively and mentor therapy staff or students. Understanding of patient and workplace safety protocols. Excellent interpersonal skills with a team-oriented attitude.
Primary Responsibilities:
Perform thorough evaluations of assigned patients and establish clear, functional goals for therapy. Implement and adjust evidence-based treatment plans that promote optimal patient outcomes and facilitate return to community activities. Document assessments, goals, and outcomes based on clinic, state, and federal guidelines. Serve as an educator for patients, families, team members, and therapy students. Follow all professional codes of conduct, confidentiality requirements, and uphold the highest standard of ethical practice. Foster a workspace that prioritizes safety, including safe patient handling and careful response to possible workplace hazards. Engage in ongoing professional development and actively participate in performance improvement programs.
