Desired Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist licensure in Georgia Experience in a school-based setting is highly preferred Proficiency in conducting assessments, developing treatment plans, and delivering therapeutic interventions tailored to K-12 students Strong communication skills for collaborating with educators, parents, and support staff Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt to changing student needs Commitment to fostering an inclusive and positive atmosphere for all students
Duties and Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to students individually or in group settings, supporting their educational progress and functional outcomes Complete assessments, develop Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals, and regularly monitor student progress Maintain accurate documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Collaborate closely with teachers, administrators, and families to ensure an integrated approach to student care Participate in IEP meetings, interdisciplinary consultations, and professional development activities Support safe mobility, access, and participation across the school environment Educate and equip staff and caregivers with strategies for student success in and outside the classroom Seize the opportunity to help students reach their full potential in a positive, collaborative school atmosphere.
