Job Overview:
•We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for providing quality care to patients and possess a strong understanding of various therapy techniques Pediatric Rehabilitation and Wellness has been proud to serve the Savannah community and provide quality access to comprehensive physical therapy, occupational therapy, and speech, language therapeutic services that empower and transform lives. We offer a positive, professional, and collaborative work environment. We are seeking a Physical Therapist to work with our pediatric population as part of our established Rehabilitation Department, which currently consists of Physical Therapists, Speech Language Pathologists and Pediatric Occupational Therapists. We are looking for a passionate and dedicated pediatric physical therapist to offer services to infants, children and adolescents with physical, sensory or cognitive challenges, with a goal to help each achieve developmental skills and create solutions for happy and healthy participation in daily living through play. Our physical therapists work closely with families, as well as our team of therapists to promote each child's functional development and success. We are open to full time, part-time or fee for service schedules, that can increase as needed. Weekend hours are also available, if desired.
Responsibilities:
Utilize formal and informal assessments and clinical reasoning skills to evaluate and determine appropriate needs of referred children. Interact with caregivers and families to determine functional status and presenting problems of child. Help promote each child's functional development and success. Properly document patient care in electronic health records. Facilitate and monitor physical therapies and rehabilitative programs. Coordinate child's care with other healthcare professionals and rehabilitation team members here at the Center. Teaching children and their families about safety and home practices. Communicate progress and recommendations to appropriate physicians. Demonstrate knowledge of pediatric equipment for evaluation and treatment including orthotics, W/Cs, standers, gait trainers and adaptive activty/feeder chairs.
