1 Description American Traveler is seeking a Physical Therapist for a 13-week travel contract in rural Kauai, HI, requiring at least 2 years of experience across inpatient and outpatient settings including ICU, SNF, and ER. Details Works across inpatient (25%) and outpatient (75%) settings, including acute care, ICU, SNF, Med/Surg (Acute and Observation), ER, OB, and a hospital-based outpatient PT clinic Patient load ranges from 5 to 15 patients per day, with sessions every 30-45 minutes and one-hour slots for new evaluations Two-day EMR orientation included: Day 1 covers HR, safety, risk and quality management, and IT orientation; Day 2 is dedicated to EMR training Primary shift is M-F, 8:00 AM-4:30 PM with a 12-1 PM lunch break; flexibility in hours may occur Saturday availability is required — no exceptions 13-week contract Requirements Minimum 2 years of physical therapy experience required Experience in inpatient settings including ICU, acute care, and SNF, as well as outpatient settings required Current

BLS/BCLS

certification required Active Hawaii PT license required; candidates should begin the Hawaii PT licensure process as soon as possible if not already licensed License required if applicable Ability to work independently in a rural healthcare setting Strong knowledge of discharge planning and acute-to-SNF mobility progression required Additional Information Primary responsibilities include PT evaluations and treatments across inpatient and outpatient settings Role demands independence and thorough clinical care approaches given the rural Kauai setting Inpatient duties include acute, ICU, and SNF mobility progression with discharge planning; outpatient duties cover a broad range of diagnoses Occasional work in OB unit expected Two-day on-site orientation provided prior to independent practice
