This role is ideal for those passionate about making a direct impact on elementary-aged students, with the unique benefit of choosing either a two-day or three-day weekly schedule. The position focuses on providing physical therapy services within a school setting for the fall semester, with the possibility to extend into the second semester.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist licensure in Illinois Previous experience working with pediatric or school-aged populations preferred Ability to adapt therapy strategies to meet the diverse needs of elementary students Strong interpersonal skills to communicate effectively with students, staff, and families Comfortable with a short-term contract and adaptable to schedule changes as needed
Primary Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy interventions for students, supporting their functional mobility and participation in classroom activities Collaborate with school personnel to develop and implement individualized treatment plans and goals Document sessions and progress in accordance with school policies and protocols Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the multidisciplinary team Provide education and resources to educators and family members as appropriate
