Certified Hand Therapist (OT/PT) - Outpatient Clinic (Part-Time)

Part-Time About the Role Doctors of Physical Therapy is seeking a Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) —either an Occupational Therapist or Physical Therapist —to join our outpatient rehabilitation team on a part-time basis. This role offers flexibility while providing high-quality, specialized care to patients with upper extremity conditions.m You'll work in a collaborative, fast-paced outpatient setting alongside orthopedic providers and therapy colleagues, helping patients return to work, sports, and daily function. Key Responsibilities Evaluate and treat patients with upper extremity conditions including post-surgical cases, fractures, tendon/nerve injuries, and repetitive motion disorders Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based treatment plans Fabricate and fit custom orthoses/splints as clinically indicated Provide manual therapy, therapeutic exercise, and functional training interventions Manage a part-time outpatient caseload with a focus on progression and outcomes Educate patients on home exercise programs, ergonomics, and injury prevention Collaborate with referring physicians and interdisciplinary team members Maintain accurate, timely EMR documentation Deliver excellent patient experiences that support clinic growth and retention Qualifications Degree in Occupational Therapy or Physical Therapy from an accredited program Current state licensure as an OT or PT Certified Hand Therapist (CHT) credential or working towards this credential is required Minimum of 2+ years of hand therapy experience in an outpatient or orthopedic setting preferred Strong skills in splint fabrication (OT) or upper extremity rehabilitation (OT/PT) Experience with post-operative protocols and manual therapy techniques Ability to work independently and efficiently in a part-time schedule Preferred Attributes Passion for outpatient and functional rehabilitation Strong clinical decision-making and problem-solving skills Experience collaborating with orthopedic surgeons Excellent communication and patient engagement abilities Benefits (Part-Time) Competitive hourly rate Flexible scheduling options Continuing education support Opportunity for growth into expanded hours or full-time role Collaborative and supportive clinical environment Why Join Doctors of Physical Therapy? Experience:
Must have Hand Therapy experience, and/or desire to complete CHT. Must have strong splint skills.
