Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract role for the upcoming 2026/2027 school year as a dedicated Physical Therapist, working four days a week in a thriving educational environment near Antioch, IL. Make a direct impact, supporting students' success by helping them access their learning environment and achieve their goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Active Physical Therapist (PT) license and registration, valid for school-based practice in Illinois Previous experience delivering physical therapy in a school or pediatric setting preferred Strong collaboration and communication abilities with students, teachers, and parents Commitment to fostering a positive, supportive, and inclusive school culture Ability to adapt therapy plans to meet diverse student needs
Responsibilities:
Conduct comprehensive assessments to determine students' physical therapy needs within the educational setting Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapeutic activities Work closely with teachers, support staff, and families to support students' mobility, access, and participation in school programs Participate in Individualized Education Program (IEP) team meetings and contribute to goal-setting and progress monitoring Maintain clear and accurate documentation, following district and federal guidelines Provide in-service training and support to staff as needed regarding safe movement and adaptive equipment Foster a nurturing environment that encourages student independence and confidence
