Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a difference supporting students as a part-time Physical Therapist within an elementary school setting for an Extended School Year (ESY) program near Arlington Heights, IL. This contract opportunity is ideal for a passionate PT who thrives in educational environments and is committed to helping young learners achieve their physical development goals.
Qualifications:
Current Physical Therapist license in Illinois Experience with pediatric populations, especially in elementary school settings Strong understanding of school-based therapy practices and Individualized Education Plans (IEPs) Ability to collaborate effectively with educators, support staff, and families Excellent communication, organization, and documentation skills
Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to elementary-aged students, addressing gross motor skills, mobility, and access within the school environment Evaluate students, develop treatment plans, and maintain accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute to IEP development and progress reports Communicate regularly with teachers, parents, and other school personnel to support student success Adapt instruction and therapy strategies to meet a variety of student needs and classroom environments Enjoy a flexible schedule that allows you to balance work with other commitments, and become a valued contributor in a supportive team atmosphere.
