Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a dynamic school-based role providing Physical Therapy services onsite to students from Kindergarten through 12th grade, serving a diverse range of needs from resource to self-contained settings. This contract opportunity, located near Arlington Heights, IL, runs from August 7, 2026, through May 20, 2027, with orientation kicking off on August 3 and 4. The part-time schedule—two days a week, totaling 15 hours—offers the ideal balance for professionals seeking flexibility and impact within the school community.
Desired Background and Skills:
Licensed Physical Therapist with experience in school-based or pediatric settings Ability to develop and implement individualized treatment plans Strong communication skills to collaborate with staff, students, and families Comfort with K-12 caseloads, serving students of varying abilities and backgrounds
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct PT services and consultative support to students in resource and self-contained environments Collaborate closely with multidisciplinary teams during meetings and roundtables Develop and adjust IEP goals and document progress in compliance with school procedures Engage in ongoing professional dialogue via a social media-style intranet for real-time connection with peers across the region Participate in performance review processes and process improvement initiatives to ensure best practice and efficiency
