Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity supporting students' success during the Extended School Year (ESY) session this summer. Provide vital physical therapy services to students in preschool through 8th grade, making a difference across two schools conveniently situated on one campus. This contract position offers a manageable, family-friendly schedule—Monday through Thursday, from 7:45 a.m. to 12:15 p.m., running from July 6, 2026, through July 30, 2026. Enjoy a varied caseload where you'll collaborate closely with educators, students, and families in a supportive environment. Each week is a chance to help students meet their IEP goals through purposeful, engaging therapy.
Desired Skills & Qualifications:
Licensure (or eligibility) as a Physical Therapist in Illinois School-based or pediatric PT experience preferred Familiarity with IEP development, implementation, and monitoring Ability to engage learners from preschool to middle school with developmentally appropriate therapy strategies Strong organizational, data collection, and reporting skills Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
Primary Responsibilities:
Help students maintain and advance progress on IEP objectives through direct physical therapy services Design and implement interactive, age-appropriate therapy sessions targeting each student's unique needs Record and monitor student data, tracking progress toward goals throughout the session Prepare clear and detailed progress reports for parents and the school-year team at the conclusion of the ESY program Experience a fulfilling summer while advancing your expertise in a school-based setting.
