Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Play a vital role in helping students reach their physical and educational goals in a welcoming school-based environment near Arlington Heights, IL. Exciting opportunities are available for Physical Therapists seeking rewarding contract positions—support students' mobility, access, and participation with a collaborative, multidisciplinary team. Openings include a part-time (0.6 FTE) Physical Therapist role for the full academic year, and a full-time (1.0 FTE) Physical Therapist coverage for approximately 8 weeks to support a maternity leave.
Desired Skills and Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience in a pediatric, school, or educational setting preferred Strong understanding of
IDEA/IEP
documentation and related services Excellent communication, collaboration, and organization skills Creative approach to problem-solving and adapting interventions within a school context Commitment to fostering student independence and inclusion
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for students Deliver direct therapy services within classroom and resource settings Collaborate with teachers, parents, and educational staff to integrate therapy goals into student's daily routines Participate in IEP meetings, monitor student progress, and complete required documentation Provide consultative support to classroom staff on positioning, adaptive equipment, and mobility Foster a positive, supportive learning environment for all students Why Consider These Opportunities?
