Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful role supporting students' growth as a school-based Physical Therapist for the upcoming academic year. This contract opportunity is located in a vibrant community near Cicero, IL, serving K-12 students in an educational setting. As a PT in schools, you'll have the chance to make a direct impact, helping students achieve their fullest potential while working just two days per week (a total of 14 hours per week) from August 20, 2026, through June 9, 2027.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Illinois Prior experience working in schools or with pediatric populations preferred Familiarity with providing therapy to a diverse K-12 student population Ability to develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with students, families, and school staff Strong documentation and organizational abilities
Key Responsibilities:
Provide physical therapy services to K-12 students with varying needs, helping them access their educational environment Conduct assessments and participate in IEP meetings as required Develop personalized treatment plans and deliver direct therapy sessions Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to integrate strategies and support Maintain accurate records of progress and therapy interventions Educate school staff on best practices for accommodating student needs This part-time contract lets you make an impact, maintain a flexible schedule, and dedicate your skills to an environment that values student development.
