Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract position as a physical therapist serving students for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year, working four days each week in a supportive school-based setting near Crystal Lake, IL. Make a real impact in the lives of children while collaborating with dedicated educators and professionals.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
Valid Physical Therapy license in Illinois Prior experience as a PT in school settings preferred, but enthusiastic pediatric PTs encouraged to apply Strong communication and collaboration skills for working with educators, families, and other therapists Understanding of IEP documentation, therapy planning, and student progress tracking Compassion for working with diverse student populations, including those with varying physical abilities Excellent organizational skills and the ability to adapt to changing student needs
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and create individualized therapy plans tailored to student needs Provide direct therapy services to students, integrating therapy goals into their educational environment Collaborate with teachers, families, and other service providers to maximize student success Monitor, document, and report student progress, making adjustments as needed Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to the development of appropriate goals Educate school staff and parents on strategies to support students' physical development throughout the day
