Northwestern Illinois Association seeks a Licensed Physical Therapist to provide school-based services to students with disabilities across member districts. In this collaborative, student-centered role, you will assess motor and mobility needs, develop and implement IEP-driven therapy plans, and support access to school environments and curriculum. You will work on multidisciplinary teams, train staff and families, travel between schools in northwestern Illinois, and participate in ongoing professional development to improve outcomes for children. Responsibilities Provide school-based physical therapy services to students with disabilities across member districts. Conduct evaluations of motor skills, gait, posture, and functional mobility in school environments. Develop and implement IEP-based therapy goals and treatment plans. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, including educators, therapists, and families. Recommend and support use of adaptive equipment, assistive devices, and environmental modifications. Document evaluations, progress notes, and reports in accordance with school and legal requirements. Train school staff and families in safe handling, positioning, and mobility strategies. Travel between school sites within northwestern Illinois to deliver services. Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to eligibility and service decisions. Engage in ongoing professional development and support NIA's student-centered, collaborative culture.
