Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful impact working as a contract physical therapist supporting students from kindergarten through 12th grade in a dynamic, collaborative school environment near Elgin, IL. This on-site, part-time opportunity allows you to focus on individualized and group services within both resource and self-contained classroom settings. You'll provide care two days per week, totaling 15 hours, with the academic year beginning after orientation on August 3-4, and concluding May 20, 2027.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric settings preferred Familiarity with K-12 populations and ability to adapt services to varying needs Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to work independently while actively engaging in a team atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct and consultative PT services for K-12 students in individual and group contexts Develop and implement IEP goals and document student progress Collaborate closely with educators, families, and other therapy staff Participate in monthly meetings, roundtable discussions, and process improvement initiatives Attend orientation and ongoing professional development for continual learning Engage in performance reviews and be receptive to feedback for continued growth
