Position Overview The role of a full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist at Gotham Enterprises Ltd is crucial for our mission to help patients regain mobility and enhance their quality of life. As a physical therapist, you will act as a trusted partner to our patients, guiding them through their rehabilitation journey. Your focus will be on maximizing their functional abilities through tailored treatment plans, evidence-based practices, and a strong commitment to patient-centered care. Our state-of-the-art rehabilitation facility encompasses a spacious 5,000-square-foot sports medicine center, equipped with advanced therapeutic tools and technologies. We prioritize delivering high-quality, personalized care and primarily serve patients with private medical insurance. Our team consists of dedicated professionals who share a passion for improving patient outcomes through innovative treatments and collaborative practice. Work Environment This position is primarily onsite at our modern rehabilitation facility located in Evanston, Illinois. You will work alongside a close-knit team of two other physical therapists and a physical therapist assistant (PTA), fostering a collaborative environment where ideas and strategies for patient care are actively shared. Our typical work schedule runs from Monday to Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, providing a consistent routine conducive to delivering optimal patient care. Key Responsibilities Conduct thorough evaluations to establish baseline measures and develop tailored treatment plans to meet individual patient needs. Implement evidence-based therapy techniques focused on improving motion, mobility, and overall physical function. Manage a diverse patient caseload, typically engaging with 2-3 patients per hour, ensuring each one receives personalized attention and support. Employ manual therapy skills alongside therapeutic exercises to facilitate pain relief, enhance mobility, and mitigate the need for medications or surgical intervention. Monitor patient progress meticulously, adapting treatment approaches as required and maintaining detailed documentation of all care services provided. Develop and promote individualized fitness and wellness programs tailored to the unique goals and preferences of each patient. Motivate and educate patients about their therapy routines, instilling a sense of agency and responsibility towards their recovery. Collaborate with inter-professional teams, including physicians and allied health providers, to ensure a comprehensive approach to patient care. Patient Population / Client Focus You will primarily work with patients seeking rehabilitation for orthopedic conditions. This includes individuals recovering from surgery, injury, or chronic pain conditions. Our patient demographic often involves active individuals looking for specialized care to restore their functional abilities and return to daily life or sports activities. Qualifications A Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) degree from an accredited institution. A valid Physical Therapist license in the state of Illinois with no disciplinary actions. Proficient manual therapy skills and a solid foundation in exercise therapy. Familiarity with Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems, specifically WebPT, to efficiently document patient care. Preferred Experience A minimum of two years of experience in orthopedic outpatient physical therapy settings, demonstrating a track record of effective patient management and rehabilitation.
