Serving a diverse population near Maywood, IL, you'll collaborate closely with educators and families to deliver specialized and general PT services onsite. This is a contract position during the 2026/2027 school year, offering daytime hours between 8am and 3pm, Monday through Friday, totaling 26-32.5 hours weekly. You'll work across multiple locations, including a specialized center for students with special needs (ages 5-21), as well as two elementary schools in the area. The center's programs focus on students with Autism, multiple disabilities, and cognitive impairments, providing support beyond general education resources. Part of your caseload includes one homebound student, requiring a candidate who is comfortable providing therapy within a home environment.
Qualifications:
Current Illinois Physical Therapist license Experience or interest in pediatric and/or school-based PT practice Ability to adapt interventions based on student needs and program setting Comfortable entering student homes for service delivery, as needed Strong teamwork and communication skills
Responsibilities:
Provide direct and consultative PT services to a diverse caseload of students Collaborate with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement IEP goals Maintain thorough documentation aligned with district and legal standards Adapt interventions to meet both general education and special needs populations Travel between school sites and student home as required
