Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make an impact by supporting student success as a Physical Therapist in a school-based environment for the upcoming 2026-2027 academic year. This contract role offers a four-day workweek, providing an excellent work-life balance while working near McHenry, IL. You'll collaborate with dedicated educators, contribute your specialized skills, and help empower students to reach their physical and academic goals.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current Physical Therapy licensure in Illinois (or eligibility) Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but new graduates with relevant pediatric fieldwork encouraged to apply Strong understanding of IEPs and ability to create and implement treatment plans for students with diverse physical needs Excellent communication skills to collaborate with teachers, parents, and other therapists Comfortable supporting students across a variety of grade levels
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver physical therapy services to students, both individually and in groups, according to IEP requirements Conduct evaluations, document progress, and participate in eligibility and IEP meetings Collaborate closely with teachers, school staff, and families to adapt instructional environments and promote effective access to the curriculum Provide consultative support and training for staff to facilitate carryover of interventions in classroom settings Maintain accurate records in compliance with school and state guidelines
