Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Bring your expertise and passion for helping young students thrive as a part-time Physical Therapist in a dynamic school environment near Melrose Park, IL! You'll have the opportunity to support elementary-age students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program, working closely with educators and families to help children reach their maximum potential.
What We're Looking For:
Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials valid in Illinois Experience with pediatric populations, specifically in school or healthcare settings Comfort and familiarity with individualized education plans (IEPs) Strong communication and teamwork abilities Ability to adapt and provide creative, student-centered interventions Previous experience in a school setting preferred, but not required
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and develop tailored treatment programs for elementary students Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to implement therapy within the school setting Maintain detailed documentation and progress notes as required Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to support student success Adjust interventions as necessary based on ongoing evaluation of student needs Ensure a safe and supportive environment for all therapy sessions
