Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a meaningful difference in the school community by providing vital physical therapy services to students in an engaging educational environment. We are seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to support several schools across a district, working directly with a diverse caseload of 35-45 students ranging from elementary to transition programs. This contract opportunity is ideal for professionals who thrive in a collaborative, student-focused setting.

Key Qualifications:

Degree in Physical Therapy (MPT or DPT required) Active Illinois Physical Therapy License Background or interest in school-based PT services Comfortable working on-site and traveling between multiple schools Excellent organizational, communication, and documentation skills Commitment to fostering student independence and mobility

Primary Responsibilities:

Conduct comprehensive evaluations to assess students' physical needs Develop and implement tailored physical therapy treatment plans Provide direct therapy and consultative services across a variety of educational programs (self-contained and general education) Train staff and students in the use of positioning and mobility equipment Collaborate closely with teachers, multidisciplinary therapists, nurses, and paraprofessionals to support each student's learning goals Maintain all required documentation, including daily notes, progress reports, and updated goals This full-time role (37.5 hours weekly, Monday through Friday; flexible start times between 7:30 and 8:30am) runs from August 24, 2026, to June 7, 2027; part-time applicants may be considered.
