Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into an exciting opportunity delivering impactful physical therapy services within a supportive school environment near Round Lake, IL. This contract position is ideal for physical therapists eager to make a difference during the upcoming 26/27 school year. As a valued team member, you'll work four days a week in a collaborative atmosphere that prioritizes student growth and individualized care. You'll engage with a diverse caseload, providing essential support and helping students achieve their physical goals.
Desired Qualifications:
Current Physical Therapist licensure in Illinois (or eligibility to obtain) Recent experience in a school-based PT setting preferred Strong knowledge of individualized education plans (IEPs), goal-setting, and progress documentation Effective communication and interpersonal skills for working with students, educators, and families Ability to adapt to changing schedules and varied caseloads
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students' physical abilities and develop tailored treatment plans supporting their academic participation Collaborate with teachers, special education staff, and families to integrate therapy into students' daily routines Document and report on student progress, maintaining compliance with district and state guidelines Attend IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multi-disciplinary teams Educate school staff on mobility, positioning, and safe handling techniques This position offers the perfect blend of meaningful work, professional development, and a predictable four-day week—giving you more time for personal pursuits.
