This contract opportunity offers a fulfilling role for a skilled Physical Therapist who is passionate about empowering children and helping them achieve their full potential during the 26/27 school year. The position features a four-day workweek, giving you the flexibility to maintain work-life balance and focus on high-quality care.
Desired Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist with credentials to practice in Illinois Experience in a school-based setting preferred, but not required Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation Excellent communication abilities to collaborate with educators, families, and other specialists Capacity to adapt therapeutic interventions to individual student needs and varying caseloads Commitment to fostering an inclusive and encouraging learning atmosphere
Key Responsibilities:
Assess students to develop and implement individualized physical therapy plans Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support students' educational goals Document progress and maintain compliance with all relevant guidelines and regulations Participate in IEP meetings and contribute expert insights for student development Provide direct therapy utilizing evidence-based practices Educate school personnel and caregivers on effective strategies and safe support techniques This position gives you the unique potential to facilitate learning, growth, and independence within a school community.
