Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a role that brings your passion for pediatric physical therapy to life in a school-based setting. This contract opportunity involves providing dedicated support to K-12 students, fostering greater independence and physical development throughout the 2026-2027 academic year. With a manageable caseload of approximately 25 students and a consistent 3-day-per-week schedule, you'll have the chance to build strong relationships and make a direct impact on students' progress.
Qualifications and Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist (PT) license in the state or eligibility to obtain one Prior experience serving pediatric or school-aged populations preferred Familiarity with school-based physical therapy practices and IEP documentation Strong interpersonal skills for working with students, families, and school teams Ability to manage and prioritize a diverse K-12 caseload
Core Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to support students' functional mobility and participation in the school environment Collaborate closely with teachers, special education staff, and parents/guardians to develop and implement individual educational programs (IEPs) Conduct assessments and develop treatment plans tailored to each student's unique needs and abilities Maintain accurate, up-to-date documentation in accordance with school policies Consult and educate staff on strategies to optimize students' physical engagement and safety at school Immerse yourself in a collaborative environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning. The 3-day-per-week schedule allows for meaningful work-life balance, giving you time to recharge and pursue other interests outside of your rewarding role with students.
