Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a difference in the lives of students by bringing your expertise as a Physical Therapist to a dynamic school-based setting for the 2026-2027 academic year. This contract opportunity is perfect for a dedicated professional passionate about helping K-12 students achieve their fullest potential through quality physical therapy services. Qualifications and Experience Sought:
Valid licensure as a Physical Therapist in Indiana (or eligibility to obtain) Prior experience in a school-based PT role preferred, but new graduates with pediatric clinical work are encouraged to apply Comfort working with a diverse K-12 student population, including those with varying disabilities and therapy needs Strong communication and collaboration skills for interacting with staff, students, and families Ability to manage time effectively across multiple school sites
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and deliver physical therapy interventions tailored to each student's needs Document evaluations, progress notes, and communications in accordance with school and state guidelines Work closely with special education teams to support IEP goals and attend relevant meetings Empower teachers, support staff, and families with tools and strategies to reinforce gains in mobility and motor function Foster a positive, inclusive learning environment focused on student growth and independence This role offers a valuable balance—providing meaningful direct service to students and benefiting from a reliable, part-time schedule that supports work-life flexibility.
