Job Summary and Qualifications The Lead Physical Therapist manages the day-to-day workflow to assist Therapists in restoring function and preventing disability following disease, injury, surgery or loss of a body part in order to allow the patient to perform to his/her maximum ability. What you will do in this role: Manage and modifies daily therapist schedules, as dictated by caseload need and productivity Complete daily charge reconciliation Attend multi-disciplinary rounds when Director/Manager are unable to Represent Rehab on DESSO, attending quarterly meetings and completing quarterly environmental rounds Collaborate with Director on identifying and tracking Rehab Performance Improvement plans Serve as a standing member on the peer interview panel for all PT, OT, and Speech candidates Teache Rehab-led education in New Employee Orientation Participate in hospital-wide skills fairs as needed Collaborate with Case Management on patient discharge needs Provide medically prescribed physical therapy in the hospital setting Ensure services are provided in accordance with National standards and hospital policy Provide timely documentation in order to facilitate inpatient discharge Demonstrate working knowledge of AIDET, utilizing with each patient interaction Regular, reliable attendance is required to ensure the highest level of patient care Follow hospital safety and quality standards and expectations, as it pertains to job performance and patient care Behavior demonstrates understanding and adherence to Menorah Medical Center's ALWAYS values Other duties as assigned What qualifications you will need: Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date (LPT) Licensed Physical Therapist Bachelors Degree, or Masters Degree, or Doctorate Degree in Physical Therapy No Travel Required No experience Required Years of Experience Benefits Menorah Medical Center, offers a total rewards package that supports the health, life, career and retirement of our colleagues.
