Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Make a positive impact in the lives of young children as a school-based Physical Therapist in a supportive educational environment. This part-time contract position, located near Ruston, LA, focuses on working as an Early Interventionist with a small caseload of 3-4-year-olds. You'll collaborate on the Early Interventionist Team, providing essential services to a select group of students during the 2026-2027 school year.
Key Qualifications:
Active Physical Therapy license in Louisiana (LA PT License required) Previous pediatric or school-based PT experience strongly preferred Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with families and school staff Ability to adapt therapy approaches for young learners Comfortable providing onsite therapy within an educational setting
Responsibilities:
Deliver targeted physical therapy services to preschool-aged students (ages 3-4) Develop customized treatment plans based on student needs Document progress, maintain accurate records, and participate in meetings as needed Collaborate with other members of the Early Interventionist Team Engage families in the therapeutic process to support each child's motor development Attend team meetings and contribute expertise to promote student growth
