Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) for a contracted role supporting a local school's Extended School Year (ESY) program. Located near Cambridge, MA, this rewarding opportunity runs from July 6th through August 3rd, with a schedule of approximately three days per week. In this role, you'll play a crucial part in delivering high-quality therapy services to students, making a meaningful impact during the summer session.
Key Qualifications:
Current licensure as a PT or PTA Experience providing therapy services in a school-based or pediatric setting Familiarity with IEPs and school documentation processes Strong communication and collaboration skills Ability to adapt to diverse student needs in a dynamic environment
What You'll Do:
Deliver direct physical therapy sessions tailored to student IEP goals during the ESY program Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with educational staff and family members Document progress and maintain accurate records according to school policies Adjust therapy interventions as needed to foster student independence and engagement Support students with mobility, access, and participation within the school environment This contract offers a unique opportunity for professionals who are passionate about supporting students' physical and educational journeys in a collaborative school-based setting.
