Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding opportunity to provide Physical Therapy services to students during the Extended School Year (ESY) program. This contract position is perfect for skilled Physical Therapists (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistants (PTA) with experience in both healthcare and school settings. If you are passionate about helping children achieve their movement and mobility goals, your expertise will make a tangible difference. In this role, you'll provide direct therapy to students, collaborating with school staff to support IEP goals and continued student progress. You'll enjoy a manageable commitment—just 8 hours per week—paired with an exceptionally flexible schedule that lets you balance work with your other priorities.
Qualifications & Experience:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Background working in schools (preferred, but not required) Experience with pediatric, school-based, or healthcare PT populations Ability to effectively document progress and communicate with educational staff and families Strong organizational skills and self-motivation
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments and deliver individualized physical therapy services for students in the ESY program Develop and implement treatment plans to support IEP objectives Work closely with teachers and support staff for integrated student care Maintain detailed documentation of sessions and student progress Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal student outcomes
