Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Shape the summer for students and enhance your professional journey with a rewarding contract position as a Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA). Step into an Extended School Year (ESY) opportunity, working with a dedicated educational team to support student growth and mobility. This part-time, short-term role takes place over the summer, offering a unique blend of flexibility, purpose, and hands-on experience.
Key Qualifications:
Licensed Physical Therapist (PT) or Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) required Prior experience in school, pediatric, or ESY settings strongly preferred Skilled in evaluating, planning, and providing therapy services to meet individual student IEP goals Excellent communication abilities to effectively collaborate with educators, families, and support staff Enthusiasm for working in a diverse school environment, supporting children and adolescents
What You'll Do:
Deliver physical therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to create supportive learning environments Conduct assessments, set measurable goals, and document student progress Provide direct therapy both individually and in small groups, fostering functional success in school routines Stay organized and maintain timely records for all assigned students
Assignment Details:
Short-term contract: July 6 - August 3 Approximately 3 days per week ESY program focused on maintaining and enhancing student skills over the summer Experience a dynamic school-based setting while making a tangible impact on student lives this summer.
