Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students as a Physical Therapist during the Extended School Year program near Taunton, MA. This role is designed for a dedicated professional who thrives in educational environments and is eager to make a difference for learners aged 4 to 22. The assignment runs from July 6th to August 6th, with a schedule of 2 to 3 days per week (Monday through Thursday), for three hours per day—offering meaningful work with flexibility and balance.
Desired Qualifications:
Valid Physical Therapist license in Massachusetts Previous experience in a school-based or pediatric setting preferred Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with educational teams, students, and families Adaptability to meet the varied needs of a diverse student population Commitment to creating an inclusive and supportive environment for all learners
Key Responsibilities:
Deliver direct physical therapy services to students, focusing on individualized goals and functional mobility Assess student needs and develop evidence-based interventions to promote participation in school activities Consult and collaborate with teachers, aides, and other support staff to integrate therapy strategies into daily routines Maintain accurate records and documentation in accordance with school and state guidelines Participate in team meetings and contribute to Individualized Education Program (IEP) planning Experience the satisfaction of supporting students' growth and independence in a setting where your specialized skills truly matter.
