Job Description

Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a contract opportunity supporting students as a part-time Physical Therapist in an engaging school environment near Westfield, MA. This role offers flexibility, allowing you to work any three days of your choosing each week, up to 18 hours, with a start date of August 24, 2026. You'll serve a moderate caseload (11-15 students) spanning two school buildings—JFK Middle School and Jackson Street Elementary School—delivering direct A, B, and C grid services. This position is designed for a reliable professional interested in making a long-term impact, with the potential for a full-year commitment.
Qualifications:
Current licensure as a Physical Therapist in Massachusetts (or eligibility to obtain) Experience in school-based physical therapy settings preferred Understanding of A, B, and C grid service models Ability to manage a caseload across multiple school sites Strong communication and organizational skills Self-starter able to work independently with minimal direct supervision Comfortable working with children ages 5-14 in group and individual settings
Responsibilities:
Assess and deliver individualized physical therapy services to students in accordance with IEPs Develop goals, maintain documentation, and participate in IEP meetings as required Collaborate with educators, school staff, and families to support student participation in educational settings Provide consultative support and recommendations for classroom adaptations Travel between two school sites as needed, ensuring continuity of care Comply with state and district policies related to student health and safety This is a rewarding contract position for someone seeking flexible scheduling and an opportunity to impact the lives of children throughout the school year.
