Category Schools - PT Job Type Contract Step into a meaningful contract opportunity as a Physical Therapist working full-time within a supportive school environment near Westfield, MA. This role spans the academic year, from August 24, 2026, through June 16, 2027, offering the chance to impact student growth and well-being. You'll collaborate closely with educators and families, dedicating 30-35 hours each week to a manageable caseload of 7-9 students.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Valid license to practice Physical Therapy in the state Previous experience working in school settings strongly preferred Skilled in developing and implementing individualized treatment plans for children Excellent communication and collaboration abilities Ability to document progress and adapt interventions to meet student needs Committed to fostering independence and mobility for school-aged children
Key Responsibilities:
Provide direct physical therapy services to a small caseload of 7-9 students Assess student needs and develop personalized therapy plans Collaborate with teachers, administration, and families to support student goals Maintain thorough and accurate records while tracking student progress Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team discussions Adapt techniques and stay current with best practices in pediatric physical therapy This position offers a unique opportunity to make a visible difference in the lives of students over the course of the academic year.
