Qualifications and Desired Experience:
Licensed Physical Therapist in the state of Maryland Previous experience working in a school setting preferred Strong interpersonal, communication, and teamwork skills Proficient in developing individualized education program (IEP) goals Ability to track progress, maintain documentation, and adjust treatments as needed Comfortable connecting with students, families, and staff to support positive outcomes
Primary Responsibilities:
Conduct assessments of students' physical abilities and needs Design and implement customized physical therapy interventions within the educational framework Collaborate with teachers, school staff, and families to integrate therapy into the classroom Assist in the development and review of IEPs Monitor and report on student progress, adjusting goals as appropriate Advocate for adaptive equipment, classroom modifications, and accessibility solutions Take pride in making a meaningful impact by helping students reach their full physical potential.
