Qualifications/Desired Experience:
Valid Physical Therapist license in Maryland (or eligibility to obtain) Previous experience in school-based or pediatric physical therapy preferred Strong interpersonal and communication skills for effective collaboration with students, faculty, and families Demonstrated ability to adapt therapy plans to individual student needs and IEP goals Proficiency in documentation and progress monitoring Commitment to ongoing professional growth
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct evaluations and create tailored treatment plans to support students' mobility, motor skills, and overall independence within the educational environment Deliver therapeutic interventions individually and in groups according to IEP directives Track student progress, revise goals as needed, and maintain thorough records in compliance with regulations Work alongside teachers, special education staff, and families to educate and support best practices for student inclusion and success Participate in IEP meetings, share progress updates, and advocate for necessary resources or accommodations This contract position is an outstanding opportunity to enrich your expertise while making a difference in the lives of young learners.
