Description Position Overview Locomotion Restore Physical Therapist Services is actively seeking a dedicated and passionate full-time Orthopedic Physical Therapist to join our team in Germantown, Maryland. About the Organization Locomotion Restore is a reputable outpatient orthopedic practice committed to providing top-tier physical therapy services. Our facility features a state-of-the-art, 5000 square-foot sports medicine environment that is equipped with the latest technology and rehabilitation tools. Our team is comprised of skilled professionals, including two experienced physical therapists and one physical therapy assistant (PTA), all of whom are devoted to delivering exceptional, evidence-based care. We primarily serve patients with private medical insurance, ensuring that they receive the personalized attention necessary for effective recovery. Work Environment The work setting is an onsite outpatient office located in Germantown, MD, characterized by a collaborative atmosphere. As part of a close-knit team, you will have the opportunity to work Monday to Friday from 9 AM to 5 PM, allowing for a healthy work-life balance. The environment fosters open communication and teamwork, enabling our staff to share insights and innovate in treatment methodologies tailored for our patients' unique needs. Key Responsibilities Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to recognize and meet each patient's goals effectively. Maintain a patient caseload of one client per hour, ensuring focused and quality care during each session. Utilize a variety of treatment techniques to maximize patient outcomes while prioritizing safety and reducing pain. Employ non-invasive, cost-effective interventions to improve patient mobility and enhance their overall wellness. Evaluate treatment effects and closely monitor patient progress, adapting care plans as necessary based on outcomes. Document all services and patient care activities in our EMR system, including WebPT, for accurate record-keeping and compliance. Coach and motivate patients throughout their treatment process to ensure they are engaged and proactive in their recovery. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care and rehabilitation. Patient Population / Client Focus Our practice primarily caters to patients recovering from orthopedic surgery, sports injuries, and chronic pain conditions. Many of our clients are proactive individuals who seek to regain strength, flexibility, and mobility to return to their daily activities or athletic pursuits. You will have the opportunity to work directly with diverse patient demographics, tailoring your treatment strategies to meet varying needs. Qualifications A Doctorate in Physical Therapy (DPT) from an accredited program is mandatory. Possession of an active and unrestricted Physical Therapist license in the state of Maryland. Clear record, with no instances of board actions or disciplinary measures on your license. Demonstrated proficiency in orthopedic manual therapy and a comprehensive understanding of rehabilitation exercises. Experience with EMR software, particularly WebPT, is essential for efficient documentation and management of patient records. Preferred Experience Previous experience in an outpatient orthopedic setting is highly desirable. Demonstrated success in developing and implementing innovative treatment protocols tailored to patient-specific needs. A background in sports medicine or rehabilitation is an advantage, as it aligns with our patient care focus. Compensation and Benefits The annual salary for this full-time position ranges from
USD 90,000
to 110,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
